The Archadeck process is one which focuses on our learning all we can about your project so that we can decide if we can or cannot help you get what you want in a new or restored outdoor living space. A local Archadeck design representative will be happy to come to your home or place of business to discuss your needs, desires and tastes, show you our past projects, talk about our custom design capabilities and discuss cost considerations and a budget. He or she will ask many questions to ensure that we understand exactly what you want – and why. We ask that all decision makers be present for this important meeting, as it’s your opportunity to evaluate the capability and compatibility of Archadeck with regard to your project and your personal situation.

During this free design consultation, your Archadeck representative will also measure and photograph your property. He or she will note any site considerations and will prepare a preliminary site plan. This process usually takes 1-2 hours. By the end of this meeting, you should know if Archadeck is the builder you want to build your project. Our goal for this meeting is to help you decide whether or not you want to proceed to the next phase of our process. At no time during your free design consultation are you under any obligation to hire Archadeck as your builder. The consultation is 100% free. Should you decide you would like to take the next step to have Archadeck custom design your project, our design team will use those photographs and measurements, along with representative’s notes, to assure your customized plan complements your existing architecture as well as your personal tastes and preferences.

At the next meeting with your Archadeck design representative, with all of the decision makers present, you will review designs presented in scaled plan view drawings, 3-D renderings, written construction specifications, a possible starting date, length of time to build your project and a firm price for the primary design and for all options and alternatives. At this meeting we will present you with all the information for you to make an informed decision. We will offer to obtain a building permit, present the plan to your Homeowners’ Association (HOA) and/or Architectural Review Board/Commission (ARC) if applicable, and comply with all other regulatory requirements. You may mark up our drawings and proposals to obtain a plan that is just right for you; and we can usually adjust pricing immediately. If you wish to proceed with the finalized plan, we will present a contract for signature, ask for a deposit and set the steps in motion to begin work on your project. At no time during this process are you obligated to hire us to build your project until you sign a written contract.
